  2. According to the specifications, the Blue-Disc has the most advantages, the HD-DVD.

However, if these top specifications are not translated into practice in a better customer experience, and that it can tell the difference (though everyone so both offer the same resolution, 1080p at acceptable fps), I think the balance between price / visual-auditory experience is inclined to the HD-DVD ..... for now .....

  3. There is a format war between Blu-Ray Blu-Ray (Sony) and HD-DVD (Microsoft), this causes no delays in its adoption by the end user.

The idea is that only one of these technologies is finally adopted by users and so we have to wait for one of the two formats and convirtá survived the new standard.

HD DVD sponsored by the DVD Forum and whose group of companies driving is led by Toshiba and NEC and Blu-ray, sponsored by the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA), a consortium of companies among which its own merits giants Sony and Philips sector.

Blu-ray offers better resolution and your doctor has greater storage capacity, the image and sound quality is excellent compared to the Hd-Dvd, having this capability in its lower double layer.

These new standards created to replace our beloved DVD, enjoy a number of technical features that give them a superiority in both picture and sound and interactivity.

Today we will analyze the intense battle over who is best BLU- RAY or HD -DVD.
The truth is that every time the evolving optical technology which makes it much more difficult to differentiate between these two devices.
In shape and size these devices are very similar , since both use blue laser technology which can record images and videos in HD (1920x1080 resolution) .
Just as there are similarities there are also differences and this is what will give us a much wider when choosing one of these two devices idea.
The main differences are its capacity , data transfer rate , price and security offered by the two devices.
The Blu-ray disc has a capacity of 25 GB, while the HD- DVD can hold up to 15 GB capacity , this is the capacity in the basic models of a layer for both devices , as both versions have capacity above .
Pricewise the BLU- RAY will cost between 2-4 times higher than HD- DVD, this would be a compelling reason at the time of an election.
Speed also plays a very important role here , since the BLU- RAY has an average transfer rate of 36 Mbps to 19 Mbps versus HD -DVD.

  6. The Blu-Ray Disc (BD) is a technology and Disk Sony High Definition Video (HD-DVD) is a technology of Toshiba. Both use (not red like normal DVDs) blue lasers that allow almazenar more information on the disks.

The HD-DVD is an evolution of technology so that DVD is cheaper to manufacture discs as well as toilets and disc recorders, but it is also more limited in capacity than the BD.

The BD dual layer discs have a capacity of 54GB and HD-DVD have only 30GB. This allows you to record more data, longer movies or a higher resolution on the BD discs.

Between these two types of technology there is no practical difference in the picture quality and sound, but no difference in the amount of content you can include disc.

The lack of support from the producers is the reason which has been discontinued HD-DVD, and the reason that the pair consolidates BLU-RAY format as standard.

  8. The Blu-Ray Blu-Ray (Sony) and HD-DVD (Microsoft).
Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but for me it is much better the blu-ray for their technical preferences as their storage capacity, sound quality and speed of data transfer.
Although it is more expensive, since the Hd-Dvd has few resources compared with the Blue-ray, Hd-Dvd is an improvement Dvd for it is cheaper and has fewer resources than the Blu-Ray.

It is known that the HDDVD is practically an extension of the DVD, so now all the secrets of how to copy content had already been resolved. Unlike that, the BlueRay is a new technology and superior protection issues is also due to the power and color of the laser, it is possible to make records of several layers.

  10. Both have the blue laser technology. The size (12 cm diameter) and the compress format video is the same.
Blue ray is more expensive than HD DVD, however the capacity is greater than HD-DVD.
In Guayaquil Blue Ray is more popular.
I like play Blue Ray in my PlaysStation 3 its Great!

  11. Blu ray Discs are more expensive, but saves more data. That is all. At this time, which is better is simply a matter of opinion, each technology is enough to argue his intentions to the industries that they were intended.

  13. Well, We've seen how the technology is advancing and what are the consecuences of that.
Today we have different types of optical dics like Blu ray, Dvd, Cd. There are no doubts that blu ray will be a little bit more over valued than Dvd an CD by its storage and its great quality of image and video.
Finally day by day it appears new technologies and we have to adapt to them, therefore we will forget the oldest ones.

  14. In my opinion , the winner is HD-DVD. It is true that blu-ray has more storage, but it is true that today most people do not know the subject, prefers the cheap, which is why the blu-ray has not fully established itself.

  15. in my opinion and from what I have read on the internet blu-ray disc offers a better resolution and higher capacity but also same the cost is higher so that's why people prefer the HD DVD featuring almost the same at a lower price.

  16. In my opinion There are two points of view:
The HD DvD, although many offer better features, such as capacity, space, resuluci, etc, most people ña Elegen cheap; as the prices they offer HD DvD, but:

The Blu-ray is the best in resulción is true that is a bit more expensive, but worth paying for such good quality and sufficient capacity which offers blue-ray

  17. The winner is the HD-DVD because it is cheap and easy to use, however, Samsung and Toshiba create a player that reads both formats, but two companies enter competition. Therefore I think that no employee in the project universal player that spends a lot of capital.

  18. Both formats use blue lasers rather than red.
Both have the same options for video and audio compression.
    Blu-ray offers significantly more storage space -- 50 GB on a dual-layer disc versus HD-DVD's 30 GB.
The DVD Forum, which creates DVD standards, approved HD-DVD and has not approved Blu-ray. Toshiba, the primary company behind the HD-DVD standard, has a seat on the DVD Forum Steering Committee.
Originally, HD-DVD was less expensive than Blu-ray, partly because HD-DVDs could be produced on pre-existing equipment, and Blu-ray discs can't. HD-DVD players originally sold for around $399, but dropped in price to around $290. Since then, companies have improved Blu-ray player manufacturing techniques. Today, you can find Blu-ray players for less than $300.

  19. in my opinion about HD-DVD and Blu-Ray Disc
HD-DVD (High-Definition/Density DVD) Is a discontinued high-density optical disc format for storing data and high-definition video. Supported principally by Toshiba, HD DVD was envisioned to be the successor to the standard DVD format.
The Blu-ray disc, also known as Blu-ray or simply BD (in English: Blu-ray Disc) is an optical disc format developed by the new generation BDA (stands for Blu-ray Disc Association), employee for high-definition video and a data storage capacity of high density greater than that of DVD.

  21. My opinion the Bly-ray is more important format because can more capacity for record information and unified standar permit that all devices used same format.
Furthermore differents format discs doesn't have a equipment that play all formats, whereas invest money in equipment that quickly become obsolete or incompatible and not good idea.

  22. Comparing the DVD vs Blu-Ray we can say that the Blu-Ray (4-8 GB) to store much more information than a DVD (25-50 GB). They are disks of the same physical size. The Blu-Ray players cost more than the DVD players. Today is very important the amount of information that can be stored on a device and the Blu-Ray is ahead to + HD-DVD.

  27. In my opinion, the difference in quality is very small, but if we compare two similar images, an image recorded on blue-ray and the other recorded on HD-DVD, we see that the Blue-Ray gives us a little more detail in the image, maybe that's the reason why we find more movies on Blue ray than HD-DVD.

  30. The big difference between DVD and Blu-Ray is that Blu-Ray can store a lot more information DVD.The DVD players, offering a superior image quality compared to VHS tapes can not produce high-definition video 720p or 1080p resolutions. Blu-ray high definition video offered when playing Blu-ray discs.
